Is your community protected against measles and other vaccine-preventable diseases?
In many of Tennessee’s counties, our rates of protection against disease (also known as community immunity) are below safe thresholds. We invite you to review and share the data for your local House and Senate districts. Keep in mind that even if your local area is well-immunized, disease travels across borders. We need everyone to get their vaccines so we’re all protected, especially infants, the elderly, and those who can’t be vaccinated because of a medical condition.
If you’d like to get involved in helping to educate our friends and neighbors about vaccine safety, public health, or if you’d like to advocate for public health in our public policy space, we hope you’ll sign up for updates from Tennessee Families for Vaccines for the most up-to-date opportunities.
Thank you to the Tennessee Department of Health for providing these essential data on rates of kindergarteners immunized for measles across the state. For the full report, click here.
